The following proposal outlines ReCAST’s most critical communications elements for its foundational period. While the leadership team remains focused on the technology, attracting strong talent, building a sales strategy and other behind-the-scenes activities, Canopy can develop a few fundamental materials that will both support these efforts and set the groundwork for the future.
We have revisited our recommendations and pared back to a focused Phase 1, lasting through the end of the year and focusing on only the most essential activities and outputs.
Just as ReCAST aims to provide robots that customers can operate independently, these tools will provide the foundation for ReCAST to develop critical materials, engage with different stakeholders and produce content independently. The segments will be progressive, beginning with a focused messaging session that enables the development of the message map and branding, which enable a collection of asset templates and other items that can be used and reused.
The messaging session will serve as the starting point for all storytelling work, resulting in a message map that:
The message map can be a guiding document that allows each person who uses it to tell a unified story that is unique to ReCAST and sets it apart from competitors, all while empowering them to tell it in their own words. It will provide the foundation for future content as well.
The messaging session will also provide the fodder to develop ReCAST’s visual identity. As companies increasingly turn to AI tools to generate logos and assets, an intentional design that represents what ReCAST stands for will set the company apart in all future creative assets. Alongside the message map, we will develop:
These materials can also play a role in ReCAST’s internal culture of empowerment, trust and agency, enabling all employees to play a part of building the company’s external presence. They will also allow for independent creation of investor decks, sales pitches, one-pagers, tech spec sheets and more.
As we build out the brand elements, we can quickly and efficiently build a stealth-appropriate website to validate ReCAST’s presence, serve as a reference for potential employees, and, over time, build to share the ReCAST story, mission, vision and values.
In the short term, a ReCAST worldview essay hosted on the site will introduce the company's point of view: that the factory of the future needs more skilled people, not fewer, and that automation should recast the workforce rather than replace it. It gives visitors a reason to remember ReCAST before there is a product to show, and it becomes the reference point for every piece of content that follows.
Total program cost is $52,000, billed as the work progresses between now and the end of the year.
